About Ancestors of Betty Schnoor Haussler
This is a website of ancestors of Betty Jane Schnoor Haussler, daughter of Hans Carl Schnoor and Dagmar E. Hoybak. It consists of direct ancestors that I identified using commoner sources of genealogical information. I did not enter any other people such as children or brothers and sisters. This is a mainline approach which forms a "skeleton" for future research by whoever is interested.

On the website you will see some photos of obituaries and censuses and gravestones, etc. These are partial sources of my information. The majority of my information was from online ancestry trees submitted by distant relatives to Betty. There are many links throughout this tree to show where my data was "pulled" from.

On the right side of this page you will find some "useful links". One of them is to an ancestry.com version of this tree. That tree does not contain the pictures and other media items of this tree but it is particularly useful. When you come upon a name in the ancestry tree you will note many green leaves. These are hints as to where current and additional information can be found. It is really amazing as to what ancestry.com has uncovered for nearly all of these ancestors.

This is a free website. It is quite attractive and gets the job done but is limited to 50 photos. My goal was to get this direct line into an easy to navigate website. Additional information can easily be found by anybody by going into the ancestry.com version of this tree. Ancestry.com is NOT free but it certainly has an amazing amount of material.

This is NOT my family. I encourage any member of Betty's family to use this site as a base and fill in the siblings and spouses. It appears that one could easily get back additional generations in a few places but that is a project for another time.

Please click onto the story at the bottom of this page. It is very interesting.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
